Why Connect Stripe?

Connecting Stripe to Pawgress lets you accept online payments directly from clients for training package enrollments. Once connected, you can send clients a secure checkout link and get paid automatically — no invoicing software or manual tracking required.
Pro FeatureStripe Connect payments require a Pawgress Pro subscription. Upgrade to Pro to unlock this feature.
How It WorksPawgress uses Stripe Connect to route payments directly to your Stripe account. When a client pays, the funds go straight to your Stripe balance, and Pawgress takes care of the secure checkout and payment confirmation automatically.

Prerequisites

Before connecting Stripe, make sure you have:
  • A Pawgress Pro subscription (upgrade here)
  • A Stripe account, or the ability to create one (free at stripe.com)
  • Your business or personal information ready for Stripe verification

Connecting Your Stripe Account

Step 1: Open Integrations

From your trainer dashboard, click on your profile icon in the top-right corner and select Account Settings. Then navigate to the Integrations tab. Account Settings navigation showing the Integrations tab

Step 2: Find the Stripe Connect Section

Scroll down to the Stripe section. You’ll see a card showing your current Stripe connection status. If you haven’t connected Stripe yet, the status will show Not Connected. Stripe integration card showing Not Connected status

Step 3: Start the Connection

Click the Connect Stripe Account button. You’ll be redirected to Stripe’s secure onboarding page.

Step 4: Complete Stripe Onboarding

On the Stripe onboarding page:
  1. Sign in to your existing Stripe account, or click Create an account if you don’t have one yet
  2. Provide your business details — Stripe may ask for your legal name, address, date of birth, and business type
  3. Add a bank account where Stripe will send your payouts
  4. Submit your information and wait for Stripe to verify your details
Verification TimeMost Stripe accounts are verified instantly. In some cases, Stripe may need additional documentation and can take 1-2 business days. You’ll receive an email from Stripe when your account is fully active.

Step 5: Return to Pawgress

After completing the Stripe onboarding, you’ll automatically be redirected back to Pawgress. The Stripe card in your Integrations tab will update to show your connection status. Stripe integration card showing Connected status with green badge

Understanding Your Connection Status

The Stripe card shows three indicators:
  • Charges Enabled — Stripe has approved your account to accept payments. This is required before you can collect money from clients.
  • Payouts Enabled — Stripe can send funds to your bank account.
  • Details Submitted — You’ve completed the onboarding form.
If Charges Enabled shows as inactive after completing onboarding, Stripe may need more time or additional verification. Check your email for instructions from Stripe, or log in to your Stripe dashboard directly to see what’s needed.

Setting Your Default Currency

Before creating packages or enrolling clients, set the currency you want to charge in. This applies to all new packages and enrollments going forward.

Where to Find It

From your trainer dashboard, click your profile icon and go to Account Settings → Profile. Scroll down to the Default Currency field. Trainer profile page showing the Default Currency dropdown

Choosing a Currency

Click the dropdown and select your currency. Pawgress supports:
CurrencyCode
US DollarUSD
Canadian DollarCAD
British PoundGBP
EuroEUR
Australian DollarAUD
New Zealand DollarNZD
Swiss FrancCHF
Japanese YenJPY
Swedish KronaSEK
Norwegian KroneNOK
Danish KroneDKK
Mexican PesoMXN
Brazilian RealBRL
Singapore DollarSGD
Hong Kong DollarHKD
Click Save to apply the change.
Set your currency before creating packages. When you enroll a client, the currency is locked into that enrollment and used for the Stripe checkout. Changing your default currency later won’t affect existing enrollments — only new ones going forward.

Troubleshooting

”Charges not enabled” after connecting

Log in to your Stripe Dashboard and check for any outstanding requirements under Settings → Account. Stripe will list any documents or details still needed to activate your account.

Redirected back with an error

If the connection process fails, try again from the Integrations tab. Make sure you complete the full Stripe onboarding without closing the browser tab mid-way.
